Mixed-signal IC design
This research line aims to develop integrated mixed-signal electronic circuits and systems, involving knowledge of analog and digital designs. The focus of this line is to optimize the sampling rate and operating frequency of mixed-signal circuits, seeking a high degree of integration and low power consumption.
Digital IC design
This research line aims to develop integrated digital electronic circuits and systems. The large scale of of integration in low-cost CMOS technologies is the main focus, contributing to the development of innovative solutions which enable the improvement of the performance of integrated digital systems.
Embedded digital design
This research line aims to develop digital electronic circuits and systems. This theme includes embedded solutions using programmable integrated devices such as FPGAs. This constitutes an important step for the validation of digital solutions prior to full system integration in ICs.
